Cooking for one you
bought the Mini
quicker to pressurize
but — you learn —
slower to cook
except when it’s not.
Maybe it’s the altitude
or mysteries no one
can name that explain
why proven formulas fail
dubious experiments succeed
though always the
Bundtlette pan pleases
making comely the humblest
recipe causing you
to wonder, then, if the
container matters more than
the specific ingredients
the particular pressure
the precise methodology
carefully applied.
You see how form
may elevate
or degrade content
and within your small
cranium consider, then, how
the brain is contoured
the quality of
its ridges and vales
whether they know how
to contain beauty or
tend to deform each
pretty possibility
under pressure
over time
though
every instant
is yours and
anything — anything
held properly —
is lovely enough
to sustain you.
Slower to cook … except when it’s not? What is the story there, Rafiki?
And that super cool looking bundt cake and accompanying tin and verse … very appealing

If you were here, I’d bake you a cake. 🙂

Wonderful pairing – pressure cooker and bundt pan! Both modes of cooking demand a bit of time.
I confess to pressure-cooker devotion – I have the midsize and may one day use its capacity – not yet!
